Socktoberfest!

When did you start making socks?
Early this summer, actually.

Did you teach yourself or were you taught by a friend or relative? or in a class?
I learned to knit and crochet from my grandmother, but it was so long ago that I'm basically self-taught. Mema was never a sock knitter that I know of anyway.

What was your first pair? How have they "held up" over time?
My first completed pair is actually the pair I knit for Sock Wars (ssh, don't tell!), so you can ask Jazmin how they hold up!

What would you have done differently? I would have worked the top ribbing with needles that were 1 size smaller, but I'm really happy with how the tubular cast on cuff and grafted toe worked out.

What yarns have you particularly enjoyed? I really like Claudia Hand Painted.

Do you like to crochet your socks, or knit them on DPNs, 2 circulars, or using the Magic Loop method? Honestly, I like to cast on and rib with Magic Loop, then switch to DPNs.

Which kind of heel do you prefer (flap or short-row)? I can't say, having only ever attempted short row heels.

How many pairs have you made? One and a quarter. XD
